Cool interview

Did you get a chance to see Conor Chatham when he came to Barrie? Interested to see if he'll be any more promising than the interchangeable Ben Johnson/Ben Thomson tandem. We don't have many kids in the OHL anymore.

We already have Baddock, save some talent for the rest of the league.

What would you guys be willing to trade for Clarkson?

Maybe Henrique plus a 2nd?

we'll bring him back when he's 36 and done with this contract. Just like we tried with Brian Gionta.

i'm going to assume you're more of a casual fan or just don't follow these kind of things in any sort of detail. You'd have to be the one giving picks along with Clarkson in order to move him. No one wants to take on that crazy contract for that player, no one. so you'd have to give more than you receive in order to move him. .. or Jokinen, but especially Clarkson, who has one of the worst.. if not THE worst contract in the league.

so no, Henrique and any pick will not be coming to you in exchange for our old pale Davey Clarkson.

Idk, i'm thinking it will take a lot more than that to get a player of david clarksons calibre. I mean, the guy is a stud. He skates like the wind and has the balance of a tight rope artist! I'm thinking it takes Henrique, Schneider, Josefson and our next 3 1st rounders for Clarkson straight up. I mean come on, the dude can bring any franchise back to relevance!

He's just a troll

People on this site and others love to get fans of other teams to agree to ridiculous trade proposals like they actually mean something.

I'll never understand it

He is being an idiot clearly. I wouldn't move henrique for kadri and a second let alone two player dumps for our best young player and our first hahahaha.

T will be funny when kessel fetches the return of a sidekick instead of franchise player. I mean the guy is just everything you don't want near kids, never hit fourty goals, doesn't back check and thinks he runs the show plus let's not forget he is making 8 million a year to be a lazy piece of poop wing man. That's pretty much how I feel about 90% of the leafs players.

Watched a good thing on tsn this morning about how you want to clean house you have to do it right. I.e trading the guys who have negative impacts on the team, unlike two guys like Franson and santo who wanted to stay and are good people.

Your Kessel analysis is on point IMO. Clearly a high quality player from a speed/skill perspective, but overall he leaves a lot to be desired. He would basically need a crosby or toews type center in order for him to get 40 goals. He needs somebody to do all of his dirty work for him and have it not negatively impact their own point totals. Those centers are basically impossible to find, especially since the leafs think they can probably fetch one of those centers for Kessel (not meaning the players I listed, meaning a high quality center to be their #1)

Well that's not exactly what I think, although not to off. Kessel is talented enough to hit fourty goals. Hell he is usually a sure lock for fourty with about 20-30 games left then falls off a cliff. A big reason he falls short of 40 is because he takes shifts off and isn't held accoubtable. He also handles adversity very purely ( hockey related ) like interviews he has acted very childish when asked questions he shot of have to answer being the teams leading scorer and highest paid player. All and all kessel is a lethal player just lacks the drive and commitment IMO to be that 8 million dollar player.
